Beholding the magnificence of history, Gwalior stands proud as the tourism hub of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It has several sightseeing options that will enthrall the visitors and give them the most memorable moments of their life. The city of Gwalior was named after a saint called Gwalipa, who cured Chieftain Suraj Sen in the 8th century AD.  Since then, this city has witnessed spectacular incidents in history like the ascendence of Rajputs, the rule of the Mughals, the Marathas, the British, and the Scindias. Over time, the present city of Gwalior has developed and emerged as a great tourist destination. Indeed, the fascinating places to visit in Gwalior will bring you closer to historic times.

Indeed, the 52 pillars in a hall at the fort represent those 52 Sikh prisoners held by Jahangir. It also has a Data Bandichhod Gurdwara situated within the fort’s premises. The architecture of Gwalior Fort is magnificent with blue carvings augmenting its charm.
