Fatehsagar Lake is the pride of all lakes in Udaipur and is located in the heart of the city. The lake is a majestic gem of Udaipur. Not only tourists but even locals visit the lake daily. Nothing is more peaceful and relaxing than sitting in front of the lake and watching the water tides rippling. In other words, a visit to the beautiful city of Udaipur is simply incomplete without visiting Fateh Sagar Lake Udaipur.

History of Fatehsagar Lake

The Fateh Sagar Lake has always been known for its beauty and scenic views. Formerly, it was built by Maharana Jai Singh in 1678. However, heavy rains destroyed the lake after two hundred years. Then in 1888, this lake was reconstructed by Maharana Fateh Singh. It is located in the Northwest part of Udaipur city and is spread across an area of 2.4 km.
