This is Where Your ‘Karma’ Should Lead to

Karma Lakelands is a beautiful place located just a few kilometers after the Manesar toll plaza. We were lucky to have visited this area on a sunny and clear day perfectly suited for the outdoors. The turn to get into this place from the main NH8 is a nice and wide road. From the turn-up to the destination and beyond, there was greenery every step of the way. We came to know of this place due to our favorite meetup group Muskarate Chehare and the efforts of our beloved group leader, Ms. Anjali Dhawan.

Reservations were made in advance at the restaurant “Under the Neem” for a large group. With some of us meeting each other after a long time, it took a while to begin the journey of exploring the greenery. Ms. Anjali Dhawan led the way, having visited the place already a few times. Some of us were lucky enough to get the option of cycling and resorted to the same with child-like enthusiasm. After all, the day was Children’s Day (November 14, 2021)!

Walking and Talking

There were plenty of interesting figurines and props such as bullock carts to click pictures with. For the adventurous, there were obstacles such as the Burma Rope Bridge and army training nets. After some fun in the area, we continued to explore the green surroundings. It was interesting to see an area outside the Karma Lakelands hotel called the Laughing Point, complete with a Laughing Buddha. So, even though we all were laughing for random reasons in every other place, the Laughing Point was a legitimate spot!

The walk soon took us towards the Karma Lakelands Golf Course. Figurines of golfers and their caddies certainly stirred the golfers within some of us! The open area and the figurines made for splendid photo opportunities here.

Bon Appetit!

A long walk across the open grassland naturally stirred our appetites. Plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items were waiting to be gorged by us. Interestingly, we were served an exclusive 4-course menu at Under The Neem. The walk did its bit of kicking off conversations across different areas of the large table.

Music Set the Mood

As soon as the soup arrived for the first course, we noticed a flute player belting out famous Bollywood melodies, setting a wonderful mood for the afternoon. After some time, we were delighted with the whiff of different starters in front of us. Two non-alcoholic beverages were also available as welcome drinks. It was lovely to smell fresh ingredients in the entire environment around us!

Yes, there was a lot to eat amongst the starters, but it also became important to save space for the main course, also prepared with several fresh and organic ingredients. The whiff of aromas, coupled with the beautiful outside environment, and having each other for company- we simply couldn’t have asked for more.

After the flute player, we were also lucky to listen to a music band playing native American beats. Many of us decided to dance in groups to the mesmerizing but relaxing beats of the band. In reality, this helped burn down some of the large quantities of food we had just consumed!

We sat around for some more time and after having a round of hot coffee, we decided to head home with happiness in the head and satiety in our stomachs.

Notes:

Great place for full-day family outings

Wonderful open spaces to let pets run around

Open spaces and several opportunities for high-quality photographs
