The coronavirus, the virus that originated in 2019 in China’s Wuhan province, has shaken the entire world, and has infected millions of people globally. No one ever thought about it, no one was prepared to deal with it. The world went under frequent lockdowns and normal human activities were prohibited. Traveling was banned as it spread the virus in other regions as well. However, the rules of traveling may soon be rewritten completely due to Corona vaccines, soon there will be a Vaccine Passport.

Even though the pandemic is still present in the form of a second wave, its effects have subsided due to vaccine effectiveness. Human life is slowly coming back to normalcy. Traveling is allowed to an extent only if you have a vaccine passport. It is an absolute must for reaching another country and will become mandatory within India soon too.

Why Getting Vaccinated Is Important?

The results of administered vaccines are very promising and claim to offer 70% to 95% immunity against the deadly virus. Vaccinated individuals suffer mild infections and don’t require hospitalization. This point has been proved by a recent study in Israel.

Currently, the administration of millions of vaccines is going on. Countries have already purchased the vaccines. In foreign countries, the majority of people have been vaccinated and soon everything will be alright. However, in India, the number count is low as we have received very less vaccines.

What is a Vaccine Passport?

Vaccine passports for travel have been designed to promote safe traveling in the middle of the pandemic. At present, the government is promoting the usage of the coronavirus vaccine. Due to the rise in cases, traveling to other countries has been restricted but not for a fully vaccinated person. Though vaccine passports have been around for years, the first one against Covid-19 was started in Israel.

A vaccine passport proves that the individual has been fully vaccinated with two doses of the mentioned vaccine type. After getting injected, you will receive a titled provisional certificate from The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This certificate is slightly different from the ordinary one as your password number will be mentioned on it. In other words, this certificate is directly attached to your passport.

Important Facts About Vaccine Passport

  • The European Commission already announced that they are going to open up forfeited borders for tourists this summer and plans for a digital certificate for travel. It is going to cover anyone vaccinated against COVID-19 or those who have tested negative or have already recovered from COVID. These facilities are so good and safely implemented inside the EU.
  • It would be necessary to get approval from WHO or a similar authority to prove that the passport is used righteously and fairly
  • The European Union and other countries like Israel have started accepting vaccine passports. They have developed official different departments to look after the matter.
  • Vaccine passports, e-vaccination certifications, or passing borders require travel documents to sanction consistent border crossing and accommodation of changeable national laws.

Leaving a job completely to start travelling and blogging is not always necessary, as I found out. Learning about different cultures helps one become a better person, which is often the only thing that matters.
